On Saturday May 30, VAYD will host a Statewide youth straw poll for
the Governor's Primary Race. It will be hosted across the 7 different
regions of the Commonwealth. The entrance fee is $10, and the money is
split between VAYD and a participants home chapter. Check http://www.actblue.com/page/strawpoll the location nearest to you. More below the fold.
In the Southeast Region, the straw poll will be taking place at The New Belmont in Norfolk and will feature Doug Smith, candidate for House of Delegates in the 80th district. At all locations there will be videos from all the candidates, votes will be cast, and all regions will find out the results at the same time. This a great way for VAYD to build the clubs we have, charter new clubs, and most importantly to show the force and opinion of the youth vote in the 2009 primary as we go forward to a crucial general election in the Commonwealth.
